Most mattresses bought online arrive rolled up and vacuum packed in a box. Ours don't. Every Lola mattress is made in the UK and delivered full size and flat by our 2 man team, carried to your room, placed on your bed and ready to sleep on the same night.
What is a non rolled mattress?
A non rolled mattress is delivered exactly as it left the factory: flat, at its full depth, with nothing compressed. A rolled mattress (often called a mattress in a box) is squashed, vacuum sealed and rolled so it fits in a courier box, then has to expand again once you unpack it at home.
Rolling makes delivery cheaper for the seller. We think a mattress you will sleep on for the next ten years deserves better than being squashed into a box, so we never roll ours.
Rolled vs delivered flat
| Mattress in a box | Lola, delivered flat | |
|---|---|---|
| How it arrives | Compressed, rolled and vacuum packed | Full size and flat, never rolled |
| Who carries it in | Usually left at your door | Our 2 man team carries it to your room |
| Setting it up | You unbox it and cut off the plastic | We place it on your bed and take the packaging away |
| When you can sleep on it | Brands usually advise waiting while it expands | Ready the same night |
| Delivery | Courier parcel | Free 2 man delivery to your room |
